Everton 0-2 Nottingham Forest Match Report

Chris Wood scored a goal and set up another as Nottingham Forest beat Everton 2-0 at Goodison Park. The 2-0 triumph was Forest’s fifth successive league victory this month and temporarily took them to 2nd in the league, with Arsenal and Chelsea both due to play later.

Forest took the lead in the 15th minute. Morgan Gibbs-White’s long ball from midfield found Wood, who exchanged headers with Anthony Elanga before producing a lovely lob past Everton keeper Jordan Pickford.

The troika were also involved in Forest’s second goal scored on the hour mark. Elanga pounced on a loose ball from Abdoulaye Doucoure, and the move culminated in a lovely finish from Gibbs-White.
Forest could’ve scored more, but a string of impressive saves from Pickford kept Everton in the contest. The Toffees had 64% of the ball but only managed two attempts on target in the whole game.

Forest’s next game is an away trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Current Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo was a former manager at Molineux and will be keen to prove a point against his former employers.
Everton, who had managed a string of impressive draws against Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City before this defeat, will take on Bournemouth in their next game
