Raphinha scored twice as Barcelona beat Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League last-eight tie at Parc des Princes. Four of the five goals in the game came after the interval, and all of Barca’s goals came from former Premier League players, with ex-Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen scoring the winner for the Blaugrana.
Raphinha’s 37th minute strike had given Barca a 1-0 advantage going into the break, but PSG hit back with two quickfire goals after the break. The first came from Ousmane Dembele- an excellent finish from a tight angle, and the other went to Vitinha.
However, an excellent volley from Raphinha drew Barca level and Danish defender Christensen, introduced off the bench, made an instant impact as he nodded home from a corner to make it 3-2.
Both Dembele and Bradley Barcola hit the woodwork in the second half for Paris SG, but Barcelona hung on to edge this five-goal thriller and put themselves in the drivers’ seat ahead of the return leg at the Nou Camp.
PSG have a full week to prepare for the second leg- they don’t have any league commitments this weekend, but Barca will travel to Cadiz this weekend in La Liga.
